GS Truck Stop at I-90 Exit 205 is hiring a Shift Lead. For the hours you are on, the store is yours: you set the pace, you handle the money, and you are the one a customer or a new clerk comes to first.

Hours

Full-time. Shifts rotate across days, evenings and third shift, including weekends and some holidays.

What you will do

Run the store for your shift: set priorities, direct clerks and cooks, and keep service moving.
Count and reconcile registers and safe drops, and complete the shift paperwork.
Handle customer problems on the spot, and escalate only what genuinely needs the owner.
Make sure every age-restricted sale is carded and every food-safety log is completed.
Train and coach new clerks on the register, stocking and store procedures.
Flag stock that needs ordering, and report equipment and fuel-court problems.
Open or close the store, including alarm and security procedures.

What we are looking for

At least 18, and able to meet Ohio’s age requirements for the age-restricted products we sell.
At least a year of retail, restaurant or convenience-store experience, including some responsibility for a till, a shift or a crew.
Dependable, calm under pressure, and comfortable telling a coworker what needs doing.
Accurate with cash handling, and comfortable with basic reporting and paperwork.
Able to work a rotating schedule, including third shift and weekends.

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience

One year or more of retail, restaurant or convenience-store experience. Previous lead, keyholder or supervisor experience is preferred.
