GS Truck Stop at I-90 Exit 205 is hiring cashiers and store clerks. You are the person most of our customers actually talk to — truck drivers coming off the highway, families passing through, and regulars from Painesville Township who stop in every day.

Hours

Full-time and part-time. The store is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so first, second and third shift hours can all be arranged, including weekends.

What you will do

Greet customers and ring up fuel, food and convenience-store purchases, handling cash, cards and fuel cards accurately.
Keep the coffee station, cold vault and shelves stocked, faced and clean right through your shift.
Check ID on every age-restricted sale, every time, following Ohio law and store policy without exception.
Keep the counter, restrooms and store floor clean and safe, and report spills or hazards straight away.
Help drivers and travelers with directions, parking, and questions about the store, Subway and the Chester’s counter.
Hand over a counted register and a clear shift note to the clerk who follows you.

What we are looking for

At least 18, and able to meet Ohio’s age requirements for the age-restricted products we sell.
Comfortable on your feet for a full shift, and able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
Dependable attendance and reliable transportation — the store never closes, so shifts have to be covered.
Basic math, and comfortable with a touchscreen register once you have been shown it.
A calm, friendly manner with customers, including when there is a line.

Education

No formal education requirement. A high school diploma or GED is helpful but not required.

Experience

No previous experience required — we train you on our registers and procedures. Convenience store, gas station, grocery or restaurant experience is a plus.
